According to Markus Vogl, assistant professor of web design and interactive media, the main difference between the fields concerns the role each plays. The purpose of design is to aid, whereas art should be able to be philosophized.
So ,we can conclude that the major difference between both of them is the purpose of creation,
Art is created for expression as it can emerge as different emotions for different people but graphic design focuses on creating an impression on a large community. And follows a more systematic and organized path, unlike fine arts which follows the more dramatic and artistic path.
